महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-14, verse-63

तांश्चापि दैवतश्रेष्ठः प्राह प्रीतो जगत्पतिः ।
सुपर्णं सोमहर्तारं तपसोत्पादयिष्यथ ॥६३॥
63. tāṁścāpi daivataśreṣṭhaḥ prāha prīto jagatpatiḥ ,
suparṇaṁ somahartāraṁ tapasotpādayiṣyatha.
63. tān ca api daivataśreṣṭhaḥ prāha prītaḥ jagatpatiḥ
suparṇam somahartāram tapasā utpādayiṣyatha
63. ca api,
daivataśreṣṭhaḥ jagatpatiḥ prītaḥ tān prāha: "tapasā suparṇam somahartāram utpādayiṣyatha".
63. And to them, the Lord of the world, the chief of gods, being pleased, declared: 'Through your austerity (tapas), you shall produce Suparna (Garuda), the stealer of Soma.'
