महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-14, verse-70

सावर्णिश्चापि विख्यात ऋषिरासीत्कृते युगे ।
इह तेन तपस्तप्तं षष्टिं वर्षशतान्यथ ॥७०॥
70. sāvarṇiścāpi vikhyāta ṛṣirāsītkṛte yuge ,
iha tena tapastaptaṁ ṣaṣṭiṁ varṣaśatānyatha.
70. sāvarṇiḥ ca api vikhyātaḥ ṛṣiḥ āsīt kṛte yuge
iha tena tapaḥ taptam ṣaṣṭim varṣaśatāni atha
70. ca api sāvarṇiḥ kṛte yuge vikhyātaḥ ṛṣiḥ āsīt
atha tena iha ṣaṣṭim varṣaśatāni tapaḥ taptam
70. And Sāvarṇi was also a renowned sage in the Kṛta yuga. He performed severe austerities (tapas) here for six thousand years.
