महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-3, verse-95

सोऽहमनुज्ञातो भवता इच्छामीष्टं
ते गुर्वर्थमुपहर्तुमिति ॥९५॥
95. so'hamanujñāto bhavatā icchāmīṣṭaṁ
te gurvarthamupahartumiti.
95. saḥ aham anujñātaḥ bhavatā icchāmi
iṣṭam te guru-artham upahartum iti
95. Having been granted permission by you, I wish to offer you what is desired as a guru's fee.
