महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-3, verse-140

सुरूपाश्च विरूपाश्च तथा कल्माषकुण्डलाः ।
आदित्यवन्नाकपृष्ठे रेजुरैरावतोद्भवाः ॥१४०॥
140. surūpāśca virūpāśca tathā kalmāṣakuṇḍalāḥ ,
ādityavannākapṛṣṭhe rejurairāvatodbhavāḥ.

ādityavat nākapṛṣṭhe rejuḥ airāvatodbhavāḥ
140. The offspring of Airāvata, both beautiful and deformed, and similarly those with variegated markings like earrings, shone like the sun in the celestial realm.
