महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-3, verse-67

युवां दिशो जनयथो दशाग्रे समानं मूर्ध्नि रथया वियन्ति ।
तासां यातमृषयोऽनुप्रयान्ति देवा मनुष्याः क्षितिमाचरन्ति ॥६७॥
67. yuvāṁ diśo janayatho daśāgre; samānaṁ mūrdhni rathayā viyanti ,
tāsāṁ yātamṛṣayo'nuprayānti; devā manuṣyāḥ kṣitimācaranti.
67. juvām diśaḥ janayathaḥ daśa agre
samānam mūrdhni rathayā viyanti
tāsām yātum ṛṣayaḥ anupryāyanti
devāḥ manuṣyāḥ kṣitim ācaranti
67. You two first generated the ten directions. At the summit, they diverge equally, like a chariot's path. Sages follow their course, while gods and humans move about on earth.
