महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-81, verse-86

देवतीर्थे नरः स्नात्वा गोसहस्रफलं लभेत् ।
अथ वामनकं गच्छेत्त्रिषु लोकेषु विश्रुतम् ॥८६॥
86. devatīrthe naraḥ snātvā gosahasraphalaṁ labhet ,
atha vāmanakaṁ gacchettriṣu lokeṣu viśrutam.
86. deva-tīrthe naraḥ snātvā go-sahasra-phalam labhet
| atha vāmanakam gacchet triṣu lokeṣu vi-śrutam
86. A man who bathes in Devatīrtha obtains the merit of donating a thousand cows. Thereafter, one should go to Vāmanaka, which is renowned throughout the three worlds.
