महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-81, verse-30

ततश्च पापान्मुक्तस्त्वं कर्मभिस्ते च पातिताः ।
ह्रदाश्च तव तीर्थत्वं गमिष्यन्ति न संशयः ॥३०॥

30. tataśca pāpānmuktastvaṁ karmabhiste ca pātitāḥ ,
hradāśca tava tīrthatvaṁ gamiṣyanti na saṁśayaḥ.

30. tataḥ ca pāpāt muktaḥ tvam karmabhiḥ te ca pātitāḥ
hradāḥ ca tava tīrthatvam gamiṣyanti na saṃśayaḥ

30. And therefore, you are freed from sin, while those (kshatriyas) were felled by their own actions (karma). Furthermore, your lakes will undoubtedly attain the status of sacred pilgrimage sites (tīrtha).
