महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-81, verse-135

क्रियामन्त्रविहीनोऽपि तत्र स्नात्वा नरर्षभ ।

135. O best of men, even a person devoid of ritual acts (kriyā) and sacred formulas (mantra), by bathing there, becomes one who has observed vows (vrata) and thus becomes a brahmin. This has been observed in ancient times.

135. ואפילו מי שחסר פעולות טקס ומַנְטְרוֹת, אם יתרחץ שם, הו אדם מובחר, ייחשב כמי שמילא את נדריו והופך לבְּרַהְמִין. כך נראה בימי קדם.
