महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-81, verse-132

त्रिरात्रोपोषितः स्नात्वा मुच्यते ब्रह्महत्यया ।
अग्निष्टोमातिरात्राभ्यां फलं विन्दति मानवः ॥१३२॥
132. trirātropoṣitaḥ snātvā mucyate brahmahatyayā ,
agniṣṭomātirātrābhyāṁ phalaṁ vindati mānavaḥ.
132. trirātropoṣitaḥ snātvā mucyate brahmahatyayā
agniṣṭomātirātrābhyām phalam vindati mānavaḥ
132. A human being who has fasted for three nights and then bathed is freed from the sin of killing a brahmin. Such a person obtains the fruit (phala) of performing both an Agniṣṭoma and an Atirātra sacrifice.
