महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-81, verse-11

पृथिव्यास्तीर्थमासाद्य गोसहस्रफलं लभेत् ।
ततः शालूकिनीं गत्वा तीर्थसेवी नराधिप ।
दशाश्वमेधिके स्नात्वा तदेव लभते फलम् ॥११॥
11. pṛthivyāstīrthamāsādya gosahasraphalaṁ labhet ,
tataḥ śālūkinīṁ gatvā tīrthasevī narādhipa ,
daśāśvamedhike snātvā tadeva labhate phalam.

11. Having reached a sacred bathing place (tīrtha) on earth, one obtains the reward of a thousand cows. O ruler of men, thereafter, a person who frequents sacred places, having gone to Shālukinī and bathed in Daśāśvamedhika, obtains that very same reward.
