महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-81, verse-178

तरन्तुकारन्तुकयोर्यदन्तरं रामह्रदानां च मचक्रुकस्य ।
एतत्कुरुक्षेत्रसमन्तपञ्चकं पितामहस्योत्तरवेदिरुच्यते ॥१७८॥
178. tarantukārantukayoryadantaraṁ; rāmahradānāṁ ca macakrukasya ,
etatkurukṣetrasamantapañcakaṁ; pitāmahasyottaravedirucyate.
178. tarantukārantukayoḥ yat antaram
rāmahradānām ca macakrukasya
etat kurukṣetrasamantapañcakam
pitāmahasya uttaravediḥ ucyate
178. The region between Tarantuka and Ārantuka, and between the lakes of Rāma and Macakruka—this area, known as Kurukṣetra-samantapañcaka, is called the northern altar of Pitāmaha (Brahmā).
