महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-81, verse-20

कुरुक्षेत्रस्य तद्द्वारं विश्रुतं भरतर्षभ ।
प्रदक्षिणमुपावृत्य तीर्थसेवी समाहितः ॥२०॥
20. kurukṣetrasya taddvāraṁ viśrutaṁ bharatarṣabha ,
pradakṣiṇamupāvṛtya tīrthasevī samāhitaḥ.
20. kuru kṣetrasya tat dvāram viśrutam bharatarṣabha
pradakṣiṇam upāvṛtya tīrthasevī samāhitaḥ
20. O best of Bharatas, a pilgrim, with a concentrated mind, should circumambulate clockwise that renowned gate of Kurukṣetra.
