महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-81, verse-35

कायशोधनमासाद्य तीर्थं भरतसत्तम ।
शरीरशुद्धिः स्नातस्य तस्मिंस्तीर्थे न संशयः ।
शुद्धदेहश्च संयाति शुभाँल्लोकाननुत्तमान् ॥३५॥
35. kāyaśodhanamāsādya tīrthaṁ bharatasattama ,
śarīraśuddhiḥ snātasya tasmiṁstīrthe na saṁśayaḥ ,
śuddhadehaśca saṁyāti śubhāँllokānanuttamān.
35. kāyaśodhanam āsādya tīrtham
bharatasattama śarīraśuddhiḥ snātasya
tasmin tīrthe na saṃśayaḥ śuddhadehaḥ
ca saṃyāti śubhān lokān anuttamān
35. O best of Bharatas, upon reaching the sacred place (tīrtha) Kāyāśodhana, there is no doubt that one who bathes there achieves bodily purification. And with a purified body, he goes to auspicious, unsurpassable worlds.
