महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-81, verse-133

आसप्तमं कुलं चैव पुनाति भरतर्षभ ।
अवतीर्णं च तत्रैव तीर्थं कुरुकुलोद्वह ।
विप्राणामनुकम्पार्थं दर्भिणा निर्मितं पुरा ॥१३३॥
133. āsaptamaṁ kulaṁ caiva punāti bharatarṣabha ,
avatīrṇaṁ ca tatraiva tīrthaṁ kurukulodvaha ,
viprāṇāmanukampārthaṁ darbhiṇā nirmitaṁ purā.
133. āsaptamam kulam ca eva punāti
bharatarṣabha avatīrṇam ca tatra eva
tīrtham kurukulodvaha viprāṇām
anukampārtham darbhiṇā nirmitam purā
133. O best among the Bharatas, it (the sacred place) purifies a family up to the seventh generation. And O upholder of the Kuru dynasty, that sacred place (tīrtha) itself manifested there, having been created long ago by Darbhi for the sake of compassion for the brahmins.
