महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-81, verse-139

ततो गच्छेत राजेन्द्र रेणुकातीर्थमुत्तमम् ।
तत्राभिषेकं कुर्वीत पितृदेवार्चने रतः ।
सर्वपापविशुद्धात्मा अग्निष्टोमफलं लभेत् ॥१३९॥
139. tato gaccheta rājendra reṇukātīrthamuttamam ,
tatrābhiṣekaṁ kurvīta pitṛdevārcane rataḥ ,
sarvapāpaviśuddhātmā agniṣṭomaphalaṁ labhet.

139. O King, one should then go to the excellent sacred bathing place (tīrtha) of Reṇukā. There, being devoted to the worship of ancestors (pitṛ) and gods (deva), one should perform an ablution (abhiṣeka). With his inner self (ātman) completely purified from all sins, he will obtain the merit of the Agniṣṭoma (yajña) sacrifice.
