शूलपाणिं महादेवमश्वमेधफलं लभेत् ॥८५॥

85. mṛgadhūmaṁ tato gacchettriṣu lokeṣu viśrutam ,
tatra gaṅgāhrade snātvā samabhyarcya ca mānavaḥ ,
śūlapāṇiṁ mahādevamaśvamedhaphalaṁ labhet.

Thereafter, one should proceed to Mṛgadhūma, a place renowned throughout the three worlds. A person who bathes in the Gaṅgā lake there and worships the great god (Mahādeva), Śūlapāṇi, attains the merit of an aśvamedha (horse sacrifice).
