मत्पक्षसंश्रयाच्चायं शृणु यस्ते व्यतिक्रमः ।
आश्रयन्त्याः स्वभावेन मम पूर्वपरिग्रहम् ॥५७॥

57. matpakṣasaṁśrayāccāyaṁ śṛṇu yaste vyatikramaḥ ,
āśrayantyāḥ svabhāvena mama pūrvaparigraham.

57. matpakṣa-saṃśrayāt ca ayam śṛṇu yaḥ te vyatikramaḥ
āśrayantyāḥ svabhāvena mama pūrva-parigraham

57. ca matpakṣa-saṃśrayāt ayam te yaḥ
vyatikramaḥ asti (iti) śṛṇu (saḥ vyatikramaḥ
asti yat) āśrayantyāḥ mama svabhāvena

57. And listen, this is your transgression (vyatikrama), which arises from my seeking refuge with your side: it is the disregard for my natural inclination (svabhāva) as one who seeks a partner for an intended husband.
