35. padbhyāṃ dṛḍhamavasthānaṃ kṛtvā sa kapikuñjaraḥ ,
nikuñcya karṇau hanumānutpatiṣyanmahābalaḥ ,
vānarān vānaraśreṣṭha idaṃ vacanamabravīt.

Having firmly positioned his feet and drawn back his ears, Hanuman, the chief of monkeys and immensely powerful, who was about to leap, spoke these words to the monkeys.
