मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-4, verse-58

अग्न्यगारे गवां गोष्ठे ब्राह्मणानां च संनिधौ ।
स्वाध्याये भोजने चैव दक्षिणं पाणिमुद्धरेत ॥५८॥
58. agnyagāre gavāṁ goṣṭhe brāhmaṇānāṁ ca saṁnidhau ,
svādhyāye bhojane caiva dakṣiṇaṁ pāṇimuddharet.
58. agnyagāre gavāṃ goṣṭhe brāhmaṇānāṃ ca sannidhau
svādhyāye bhojane ca eva dakṣiṇaṃ pāṇim uddharet
58. In the presence of a fire altar, cows, a cow shed, or Brahmins, and also during Vedic study or eating, one should raise the right hand.
