मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-4, verse-254

यादृशोऽस्य भवेदात्मा यादृशं च चिकीर्षितम ।
यथा चौपचरेदेनं तथाऽत्मानं निवेदयेत ॥२५४॥
254. yādṛśo'sya bhavedātmā yādṛśaṁ ca cikīrṣitam ,
yathā caupacaredenaṁ tathā'tmānaṁ nivedayet.

yathā ca aupacaret enam tathā ātmānaṁ nivedayet
254. asya ātmā yādṛśaḥ bhavet ca cikīrṣitam yādṛśaṁ

254. According to what his self (ātman) may be, and according to what he intends to do, and according to how he approaches it, one should dedicate himself (ātmānam).
