One should not honor, even with words alone (vān mātrēṇāpi), those who are heretics (pāṣaṇḍinaḥ), those engaged in forbidden actions (vikarma-sthān), those who practice deception like cats (baiḍālavratikān), the wicked (śaṭhān), the sophists (haitukān), or those who act deceitfully like cranes (baka-vr̥ttīṁś ca).
