मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-4, verse-192

न वार्यपि प्रयच्छेत तु बैडालव्रतिके द्विजे ।
न बकव्रतिके पापे नावेदविदि धर्मवित ॥१९२॥
192. na vāryapi prayacchet tu baiḍālavratike dvije ,
na bakavratike pāpe nāvedavidi dharmavit.

na bakavratike pāpe na avedavidi dharmavit
192. One should not even give water to a twice-born (brāhmaṇa) who practices cat-like austerity, nor to a sinful person who practices crane-like austerity, nor to one who does not know the Veda, even if one considers oneself a knower of (revealed) law (dharma).
