मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-4, verse-194

यथा प्लवेनोपलेन निमज्जत्युदके तरन ।
तथा निमज्जतोऽधस्तादज्ञौ दातृप्रतीच्छकौ ॥१९४॥
194. yathā plavenopalena nimajjatyudake taran ,
tathā nimajjato'dhastādajñau dātṛpratīcchakau.
194. yathā plavena upalena nimajjati udake taran
tathā nimajjataḥ adhasthāt ajñau dātr pratīccakau
194. Just as a drowning person sinks down in water with a stone tied to them, similarly, the ignorant giver and receiver sink down together.
