मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-4, verse-41

रजसाऽभिप्लुतां नारीं नरस्य ह्युपगच्छतः ।
प्रज्ञा तेजो बलं चक्षुरायुश्चैव प्रहीयते ॥४१॥
41. rajasā'bhiplutāṁ nārīṁ narasya hyupagacchataḥ ,
prajñā tejo balaṁ cakṣurāyuścaiva prahīyate.

41. For a man who approaches a woman afflicted with menstrual impurity, his intellect (prajñā), vitality (tejas), strength (balam), vision (cakṣuḥ), and lifespan (āyuḥ) are diminished.
