मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-4, verse-166

ताडयित्वा तृणेनापि संरम्भात्मतिपूर्वकम ।
एकविंशतीमाजातीः पापयोनिषु जायते ॥१६६॥
166. tāḍayitvā tṛṇenāpi saṁrambhātmatipūrvakam ,
ekaviṁśatīmājātīḥ pāpayoniṣu jāyate.

166. Having struck someone even with a blade of grass, with excessive anger and intentionally, one is born among the lower species for twenty-one generations.
