मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-4, verse-44

नाञ्जयन्तीं स्वके नेत्रे न चाभ्यक्तामनावृताम ।
न पश्येत प्रसवन्तीं च तेजस्कामो द्विजोत्तमः ॥४४॥
44. nāñjayantīṁ svake netre na cābhyaktāmanāvṛtām ,
na paśyet prasavantīṁ ca tejaskāmo dvijottamaḥ.

na paśyeta prasavantīm ca tejas-kāmaḥ dvija-uttamaḥ

44. One who desires radiance should not look at a woman who is applying collyrium to her eyes, or who is oiled and unclothed, or who is giving birth.
