मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-4, verse-127

द्वावेव वर्जयेन्नित्यमनध्यायौ प्रयत्नतः ।
स्वाध्यायभूमिं चाशुद्धमात्मानं चाशुचिं द्विजः ॥१२७॥
127. dvāveva varjayennityamanadhyāyau prayatnataḥ ,
svādhyāyabhūmiṁ cāśuddhamātmānaṁ cāśuciṁ dvijaḥ.

127. A twice-born person (dvija) should always diligently avoid two situations that prevent study: an impure place of study and an impure self (ātman).
