मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-4, verse-110

प्रतिगृह्य द्विजो विद्वानेकोद्दिष्टस्य केतनम ।
त्र्यहं न कीर्तयेद ब्रह्म राज्ञो राहोश्च सूतके ॥११०॥
110. pratigṛhya dvijo vidvānekoddiṣṭasya ketanam ,
tryahaṁ na kīrtayed brahma rājño rāhośca sūtake.

110. A learned twice-born (dvija) who has accepted (a gift for) one-pointed śrāddha ceremony should not recite Vedic hymns for three days during the impurity (sūtaka) following the death of a king or a Rāhu (eclipse).
