मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-7, verse-39

तेभ्योऽधिगच्छेद विनयं विनीतात्माऽपि नित्यशः ।
विनीतात्मा हि नृपतिर्न विनश्यति कर्हि चित ॥३९॥
39. tebhyo'dhigacched vinayaṁ vinītātmā'pi nityaśaḥ ,
vinītātmā hi nṛpatirna vinaśyati karhi cit.
39. tebhyo'dhigaccheta vinayaṃ vinītātmā'pi nityaśaḥ
| vinītātmā hi nr̥patir na vinaśyati kahi cit
39. Even if the self-controlled person constantly learns humility from them, a self-controlled king never perishes.
