मनु-स्मृतिः       manu-smṛtiḥ - chapter-7, verse-158

अनन्तरमरिं विद्यादरिसेविनमेव च ।
अरेरनन्तरं मित्रमुदासीनं तयोः परम ॥१५८॥

areranantaraṁ mitramudāsīnaṁ tayoḥ param.

158. One should know the immediate enemy and also the one who serves the enemy. Beyond the enemy is a friend, and beyond them both is the indifferent one.
