During the time of chanting the spell (mantra-kāle), one should remove (apasārayet) the mute (mūka), blind (andha), deaf (badhirān), animals (tairyag-yonān), the aged (vayo-atigān), women (strī), foreigners (mléccha), the diseased (vyādhita), and the deformed (tvaṅgān), who are dull (jaḍa).
