महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-17, verse-157

जाग्रतश्च स्वपन्तश्च व्रजन्तः पथि संस्थिताः ।
स्तुवन्ति स्तूयमानाश्च तुष्यन्ति च रमन्ति च ।
जन्मकोटिसहस्रेषु नानासंसारयोनिषु ॥१५७॥
157. jāgrataśca svapantaśca vrajantaḥ pathi saṁsthitāḥ ,
stuvanti stūyamānāśca tuṣyanti ca ramanti ca ,
janmakoṭisahasreṣu nānāsaṁsārayoniṣu.

pathi saṃsthitāḥ stuvanti stūyamānāḥ
ca tuṣyanti ca ramanti ca
janmakoṭisahastreṣu nānāsaṃsārayoniṣu
157. [te] jāgrataḥ ca svapantaḥ ca vrajantaḥ [ca] pathi saṃsthitāḥ stuvanti.
ca stūyamānāḥ tuṣyanti ca ramanti ca janmakoṭisahastreṣu nānāsaṃsārayoniṣu.
157. Waking and sleeping, walking and standing on the path, they praise [him]. And being praised, they are satisfied and they rejoice. This occurs in thousands of crores of births, in various life-forms within the cycle of existence (saṃsāra).
