महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-17, verse-152

भक्तिमेव पुरस्कृत्य मया यज्ञपतिर्वसुः ।
ततोऽभ्यनुज्ञां प्राप्यैव स्तुतो मतिमतां वरः ॥१५२॥
152. bhaktimeva puraskṛtya mayā yajñapatirvasuḥ ,
tato'bhyanujñāṁ prāpyaiva stuto matimatāṁ varaḥ.

abhyanujñām prāpya eva stutaḥ matimatām varaḥ

152. Having placed devotion (bhakti) as my foremost intention, I then, after receiving permission, praised Vasu, the Lord of (Vedic rituals) (yajña), who is the best among the intelligent.
