If Jupiter (vāṣavaguru) is exalted and quickly attains a radiant splendor, it bestows the joy of virtues and the pure source of happiness. It always grants a mass of brilliance and directs one towards the divine groves of the lord of Vraja (Krishna). Such a placement ensures prominence (gurutva) for people and makes embodied beings equal to Kubera (dhanapati), the lord of wealth.
