When Mercury (candraja) is in the house indicating a desire for dance and arts (`nṛtyalipsāgata`), the person (mānava) is endowed with honorable conveyances and abundant jewels (mānayānapravālavrajaiḥ). He is a scholar in assemblies (sabhāpaṇḍita) due to the glory of his friends and sons (mitraputrapratāpaiḥ). If (Mercury is) in a malefic sign (pāpabhe), he becomes fond of courtesans (vāravāmārata) and licentious (lampaṭa).
