तुङ्गे युद्धकलाकलापकुशलो धर्मध्वजो वित्तपः ।
कोणे भूमिसुते सभामुपगते विद्याविहीनः पुमान् ।
अन्तेऽपत्यकलत्रमित्ररहितः प्रोक्तेतरस्थानगे ।
ऽवश्यं राजसभाबुधो बहुधनी मानी च दानी जनः ॥७०॥
70. tuṅge yuddhakalākalāpakuśalo dharmadhvajo vittapaḥ .
koṇe bhūmisute sabhāmupagate vidyāvihīnaḥ pumān .
ante'patyakalatramitrarahitaḥ proktetarasthānage .
'vaśyaṃ rājasabhābudho bahudhanī mānī ca dānī janaḥ.
70. tuṅge yuddhakalākalāpakuśalaḥ dharmadhvajaḥ vittapaḥ
koṇe bhūmisute sabhām upagate vidyāvihīnaḥ pumān
ante apatyakalatramitrarahitaḥ proktetara-sthānage
avaśyam rājasabhābuddhaḥ bahudhanī mānī ca dānī janaḥ
70. When Mars (bhauma) is in exaltation, the person is skilled in various arts of warfare, an upholder of (dharma), and wealthy. When the son of Earth (bhūmisuta) is in an angle or trine house and associated with assemblies, the man is devoid of knowledge. If Mars is in the twelfth house (anta), the person is devoid of children, wife, and friends. However, if Mars is situated in any other house not mentioned, the person is certainly learned in royal assemblies, very wealthy, honorable, and charitable.
