महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-24, verse-59

देवा ऊचुः ।
अस्मत्तेजोबलं यावत्तावद्द्विगुणमेव च ।
तेषामिति ह मन्यामो दृष्टतेजोबला हि ते ॥५९॥
59. devā ūcuḥ ,
asmattejobalaṁ yāvattāvaddviguṇameva ca ,
teṣāmiti ha manyāmo dṛṣṭatejobalā hi te.
59. devāḥ ūcuḥ asmat tejovalam yāvat tāvat dviguṇam
eva ca teṣām iti ha manyāmahe dṛṣṭatejobalāḥ hi te

59. The gods said: "We believe that their power and might are twice as great as ours, for their strength and power have already been witnessed."
