महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-24, verse-41

एकं च भगवन्तं ते नानारूपमकल्पयन् ।
आत्मनः प्रतिरूपाणि रूपाण्यथ महात्मनि ।
परस्परस्य चापश्यन्सर्वे परमविस्मिताः ॥४१॥
41. ekaṁ ca bhagavantaṁ te nānārūpamakalpayan ,
ātmanaḥ pratirūpāṇi rūpāṇyatha mahātmani ,
parasparasya cāpaśyansarve paramavismitāḥ.
41. ekam ca bhagavantam te nānārūpam
akalpayan ātmanaḥ pratirūpāṇi
rūpāṇi atha mahātmani parasparasya
ca apaśyan sarve paramavismitāḥ
41. te ca ekam bhagavantam nānārūpam
akalpayan atha mahātmani ātmanaḥ
pratirūpāṇi rūpāṇi sarve
paramavismitāḥ ca parasparasya apaśyan
41. And they imagined the one revered Lord to have many forms. Then, within that great Supreme Being (ātman), they saw forms that were reflections of their own selves (ātman). All of them looked upon each other, utterly astonished.
