महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-24, verse-124

तेऽनुज्ञाता भगवता जग्मुः सर्वे यथागतम् ।
कृतकामाः प्रसन्नेन प्रजापतिमुखाः सुराः ॥१२४॥

124. All of them, the gods headed by Prajāpati (Brahma), having been granted permission by the revered Lord and with their desires fulfilled by the gracious one, returned to where they had come from.
