महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-24, verse-18

पुरेषु चाभवन्राजन्राजानो वै पृथक्पृथक् ।
काञ्चनं तारकाक्षस्य चित्रमासीन्महात्मनः ।
राजतं कमलाक्षस्य विद्युन्मालिन आयसम् ॥१८॥
18. pureṣu cābhavanrājanrājāno vai pṛthakpṛthak ,
kāñcanaṁ tārakākṣasya citramāsīnmahātmanaḥ ,
rājataṁ kamalākṣasya vidyunmālina āyasam.
18. purīṣu ca abhavan rājan rājānaḥ vai
pṛthak pṛthak kāñcanam tārakākṣasya
citram āsīt mahātmanaḥ rājatam
kamalākṣasya vidyunmālinaḥ āyasam
18. And in those cities, O King, there were separate kings, each ruling his own. Tārakākṣa, that great being, possessed a splendid golden city. Kamalākṣa had a silver city, and Vidyunmālin possessed one made of iron.
