महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-24, verse-144

अभिगम्य ततो देवा महेश्वरमथाब्रुवन् ।
प्रसादयन्तस्तं भक्त्या जहि शत्रुगणानिति ॥१४४॥
144. abhigamya tato devā maheśvaramathābruvan ,
prasādayantastaṁ bhaktyā jahi śatrugaṇāniti.

prasādayantaḥ tam bhaktyā jahi śatrugaṇān iti

144. Having approached Maheśvara, the gods then spoke, propitiating him with devotion (bhakti), saying, "Destroy these multitudes of enemies!"
