महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-24, verse-33

श्रुत्वा तद्भगवान्देवो देवानिदमुवाच ह ।
असुराश्च दुरात्मानस्ते चापि विबुधद्विषः ।
अपराध्यन्ति सततं ये युष्मान्पीडयन्त्युत ॥३३॥
33. śrutvā tadbhagavāndevo devānidamuvāca ha ,
asurāśca durātmānaste cāpi vibudhadviṣaḥ ,
aparādhyanti satataṁ ye yuṣmānpīḍayantyuta.

idam uvāca ha asurāḥ ca durātmānaḥ
te ca api vibudhadviṣaḥ aparādhyanti

33. Having heard that, the glorious god indeed spoke this to the gods: "Those Asuras, who are evil-minded and hostile to the gods, constantly commit offenses and torment you."
