महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-24, verse-116

तस्मिन्स्थिते तदा राजन्क्रुद्धे विधृतकार्मुके ।
पुराणि तानि कालेन जग्मुरेकत्वतां तदा ॥११६॥
116. tasminsthite tadā rājankruddhe vidhṛtakārmuke ,
purāṇi tāni kālena jagmurekatvatāṁ tadā.

purāṇi tāni kālena jagmuḥ ekatvatām tadā
116. rājan,
tadā tasmin kruddhe vidhṛtakārmuke sthite sati,
tāni purāṇi tadā kālena ekatvatām jagmuḥ.
116. At that very moment, O King, as he stood there enraged with his bow drawn, those cities, by the opportune moment, merged into a single entity.
