महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-24, verse-152

प्रीतश्च भगवान्देवः कर्मणा तेन तस्य वै ।
वरान्प्रादाद्ब्रह्मविदे भार्गवाय महात्मने ॥१५२॥
152. prītaśca bhagavāndevaḥ karmaṇā tena tasya vai ,
varānprādādbrahmavide bhārgavāya mahātmane.

152. And the divine lord (deva), pleased by that deed (karma) of his (Paraśurāma), indeed gave boons to Bhārgava, the great-souled knower of Brahman (brahman).
