महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-24, verse-12

समागतानि चैतानि यो हन्याद्भगवंस्तदा ।
एकेषुणा देववरः स नो मृत्युर्भविष्यति ।
एवमस्त्विति तान्देवः प्रत्युक्त्वा प्राविशद्दिवम् ॥१२॥
12. samāgatāni caitāni yo hanyādbhagavaṁstadā ,
ekeṣuṇā devavaraḥ sa no mṛtyurbhaviṣyati ,
evamastviti tāndevaḥ pratyuktvā prāviśaddivam.
12. samāgatāni ca etāni yaḥ hanyāt
bhagavan tadā ekeṣuṇā devavaraḥ sa naḥ
mṛtyuḥ bhaviṣyati evam astu iti
tān devaḥ pratyuktvā prāviśat divam
12. bhagavan tadā yaḥ ekeṣuṇā etāni samāgatāni ca hanyāt,
sa devavaraḥ naḥ mṛtyuḥ bhaviṣyati.
devaḥ tān "evam astu" iti pratyuktvā divam prāviśat
12. O Lord (bhagavan), whoever destroys these cities when they are united, that best of gods, with a single arrow, will be the cause of our death. Having said "So be it" to them, the god entered heaven.
