महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-24, verse-122

स चात्मक्रोधजो वह्निर्हाहेत्युक्त्वा निवारितः ।
मा कार्षीर्भस्मसाल्लोकानिति त्र्यक्षोऽब्रवीच्च तम् ॥१२२॥
122. sa cātmakrodhajo vahnirhāhetyuktvā nivāritaḥ ,
mā kārṣīrbhasmasāllokāniti tryakṣo'bravīcca tam.
122. saḥ ca ātmakrodhajaḥ vahniḥ hāhā iti uktvā nivāritaḥ
mā kārṣīḥ bhasmasāt lokān iti tryakṣaḥ abravīt ca tam
122. ca saḥ ātmakrodhajaḥ vahniḥ hāhā iti uktvā nivāritaḥ
tryakṣaḥ ca tam iti mā lokān bhasmasāt kārṣīḥ
122. And that fire, which was born from his own anger (krodha), was restrained after it cried out, "Alas! Alas!" The three-eyed Shiva then said to it, "Do not turn the worlds into ashes!"
