ततो व्यरोचत द्रोणो विनिघ्नन्सर्वसोमकान् ।
शिरांस्यपातयच्चापि पाञ्चालानां महामृधे ।

80. tato vyarocata droṇo vinighnansarvasomakān ,
śirāṁsyapātayaccāpi pāñcālānāṁ mahāmṛdhe ,
tathaiva parighākārānbāhūnkanakabhūṣaṇān.

80. Then Drona shone gloriously as he slew all the Somakas. In that great battle, he also cut off the heads of the Panchalas, and likewise their arms, which resembled maces and were adorned with gold.
