महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-164, verse-31

यदि तेऽहं प्रियो राजञ्जहि मां मा चिरं कृथाः ।
त्वत्कृते सुकृताँल्लोकान्गच्छेयं भरतर्षभ ॥३१॥
31. yadi te'haṁ priyo rājañjahi māṁ mā ciraṁ kṛthāḥ ,
tvatkṛte sukṛtāँllokāngaccheyaṁ bharatarṣabha.
31. yadi te aham priyaḥ rājan jahi mām mā ciram kṛthāḥ
| tvatkṛte sukṛtān lokān gaccheyam bharatarṣabha
31. rājan yadi aham te priyaḥ jahi mām mā ciram kṛthāḥ

31. O King, if I am dear to you, then kill me; do not delay. For your sake, O best among the Bharatas, I would attain the worlds gained by good deeds.
