महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-164, verse-109

आगस्कृतमिवात्मानं पाण्डवानां महात्मनाम् ।
ऋषिवाक्यं च मन्वानः श्रुत्वा च निहतं सुतम् ॥१०९॥
109. āgaskṛtamivātmānaṁ pāṇḍavānāṁ mahātmanām ,
ṛṣivākyaṁ ca manvānaḥ śrutvā ca nihataṁ sutam.
109. āgaskṛtam iva ātmānam pāṇḍavānām mahātmanām
ṛṣivākyam ca manvānaḥ śrutvā ca nihatam sutam
109. ātmānam āgaskṛtam iva pāṇḍavānām mahātmanām

109. Considering himself (ātman) as having committed an offense against the great-souled (mahātman) Pandavas, and also pondering the words of the sages, and having heard that his son was killed, (Drona was filled with despair).
