बृहत्-पाराशर-होरा-शास्त्रम्       bṛhat-pārāśara-horā-śāstram - chapter-24, verse-24

धनेशे व्ययभावस्थे साहमी धनवर्जितः ।
परभाग्यरतस्तस्य ज्येष्ठापत्यसुखं नहि ॥२४॥
24. dhaneśe vyayabhāvasthe sāhamī dhanavarjitaḥ .

24. When the lord of the house of wealth (the second house) is situated in the house of expenditure (the twelfth house), the person, despite being courageous, is devoid of wealth. He relies on the fortunes of others, and happiness from his eldest child is not present for him.
